Arkansas April 20-25

After months in the making, we met up with Leslie (from Virginia) and her cousin Alan and wife Janet at their home by the Buffalo National River (America's first National River).  We first met Leslie on our 2017 Out West trip, and have remained friends since, conjuring up travel adventures together.

Neighbor friend Laura took us on a lovely canoe trip on the Buffalo National River. 

We took Leslie to Alan & Janet's home in Little Rock for her next-day flight.  This is the Arkansas River from their home.  Inspiring.

Flyover states

Couple days driving through Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri, with overnights at Versailles (IN) and Giant City (IL) State Parks. April 18-20.

After waking up to snow in Ohio in the morning it was nice to bike in 65 degree weather!

Surprise overnight

Spontaneous driveway camping and reconnecting with Jimmy & Patty -- YSU ski club friends.  Sometimes the surprise visits are the best!

Harvest Hosts camping

Stayed at "Shoppes at Johnny Appleseed" in NY.  Shopped in the morning!
